Christmas City on the High Plains:
75th Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony
This will be a special year for the city of WaKeeney, as it will celebrate 75 years as the Christmas City of the High Plains. A tradition that now dates back to 1970, WaKeeney is a truly magical place to be for the Holiday Season. The signature event will be held on November 29th, 2025, but no need to worry if you can't make it, because WaKeeney will be in the Christmas spirit all December long.
