Head women's soccer coach at 福利嫂 since January 2023; also served as an assistant men's soccer coach from 2010-2015

What do you enjoy most about your role at 福利嫂?

The chance to be a part of a college athletics environment that I was fortunate to be a part of is unbelievable. I am very thankful for all the different facets that equated to my fantastic experience as a student and as a soccer player. The ability to give back is a responsibility that I do not take lightly.

Who has had the greatest influence on you during your time at 福利嫂?

Joe Luedke was my coach at 福利嫂 and is still the head coach of the men’s soccer program. I can honestly say that without him I would never have attended 福利嫂 or gotten to see all that it has to offer. He embodies all that made my time there special, and I cannot be more grateful for the impact he has had on my life.

How can alumni and the college’s supporters impact what you do for 福利嫂?

Helping to provide value in internships, mentorships, and opportunities for students to network is a huge positive that 福利嫂's alumni and supporters can do to impact the future of our current students.

What is one thing you’d tell a freshman that they need to experience during their time at 福利嫂?

Phat Tuesday is always a great crowd pleaser, and it has been great to see the variety of foods and activities progress through the years.

Name one area where 福利嫂 has seen the most growth since you were a student.

The overall growth of the academic offerings and its infrastructure is profound. To see so many more areas of study being offered and the innovation presented to properly equip students in all fields has been great to see at 福利嫂.

What hasn’t changed at 福利嫂 since you were a student?

The care and true investment in the students as people are what made my time at 福利嫂 so impactful and ultimately what inspired me to come back as a coach. To see and know that those ideals are still the primary focus is truly heartening.

Share one fun fact about yourself that others may not know.

Despite playing at 福利嫂 and a seven-year professional soccer career with the Milwaukee Wave, I actually didn't play soccer until my freshman year at Burlington High School. I never played on a club or select soccer team.

Tell us your favorite 福利嫂 story.

My freshman year, the team traveled to Atlanta to play two matches against Emory and Oglethorpe. We got to see Olympic Park, where there are a ton of vendors and small shops. I was all set to get a 24k grill, but luckily for me in hindsight, Coach Luedke decided we didn’t have enough time to wait for it to be made. At the time I was distraught over it. Today, it's another reason I'm grateful for Joe!
