Things To Do In Augusta, Kansas

Augusta is a small community on the outskirts of Wichita, roughly 20 miles east of the city. As a smaller community in a large metropolitan area, visitors often come to Augusta to enjoy the quieter atmosphere and proximity to various farm experiences and agritourism destinations. The beloved Lazy Moon Ranch is well known as one of the state's top petting zoos for farm animals. In addition to having places to pet alpaca, the local Applejack Pumpkin Patch is also a very busy location during the fall season as people look for carvable pumpkins.

Many people also enjoy stopping by Augusta on their way to El Dorado State Park, the largest state park in Kansas. While outdoor experiences draw in many people to Augusta, the town's main attraction is easily the Twisted Oz Motorcycle Museum. Not only is this a free museum for all to enjoy, but it's also home to over 70 vintage motorcycles. Visiting Augusta is an excellent destination for those who want to experience all the things you can do in the Wichita area.
